Will take steps to change the Constitution by obtaining a two-thirds majority in Parliament. Not only Opposition members but even a large number of Government members are ready to give their cooperation, says General Sarath Fonseka addressing his first media conference as Presidential candidate.
He presented his policies to be implemented once he is elected President at a special media briefing. General Fonseka said he was not attempting to take the whole credit for the triumph in war. He was only coming forward to save the country from being dragged into dictatorship.
