Just a suggestion: Why not get Symbian (Nokia) or Windows Mobile (Samsung , HTC) business phone with a blackberry like QWERTY keyboard instead? Both those operating systems are more versatile and have a large application base compared to the Blackberry OS. If you are not so much keen on the blackberry form factor, then get one with a slide out keyboard. Bigger and better.

Seriously Airtelhttp://airtel.lk/AirtelSL/blackberry/faq.htmlI think they have special packages as well. not too sure though you will have to call them.

But if you are going to buy original you definitely should get someone to buy one for you from Singapore or somewhere. Eventhough the gray market phones are cheaper in SriLanka original phones cost WAY too much after all the duties.
