This conspiracy has been entrusted to the Editor by a top notch officer of the Defense Ministry.. This Officer has given instructions to the Editor to conduct an interview with Major General Shavindra Silva in a manner that would dent Gen. Fonseka’s image . This interview is to be published in the Sunday Leader of the 27th instant.
Accordingly , this Editor acting on the instructions has gone and met Shavindra Silva and conducted the interview. Later , this editor has even gone beyond violating journalistic ethics and norms to forward the article to Major General Shavindra Silva to make amendments and corrections at his will and pleasure .
