* Vijay as Pugazh and Major Saravanan. Pugazh is the film's protagonist who is on a mission to find the man behind the false accusation and murder of his father Major Saravanan, who was an honest army soldier killed on duty by J. D.

* Nayantara as Janavi. Janavi is J. D.'s daughter who falls for Pugazh's love, part of Pugazh's mission on catching J. D..

* Prakash Raj as J. D.. J. D. is the one who killed Pugazh's father, Saravanan.

* Vadivelu as Maadaswamy. Madaswamy is the audiographer who Pugazh sees on the way to the wedding of Janavi's friend. He often does clumsy acts of humour, getting himself into trouble.

* Manoj K. Jayan as Inspector Joseph. Joseph, Saravanan's old friend, informs Pugazh of his duties on the mission of finding J. D. and the culprits.

Kadhalil Vizhunthen (English Translation - I Fell in Love) is a movie starring Nakul and newcomer Sunaina. The movie's music was composed by Vijay Antony, cinematography by S D Vijay Milton and editing by V T Vijayan. The movie is produced by Umapathy for Atlantic Cinemas. The shooting for the film started in August 2007 and was released in September 2008.

The film was produced by Kalanithi Maran, the managing director of Sun networks (son of politician Late. Murasoli Maran) and released on September 2008. Due to some political reason, the film was not allowed to be screened in some cinemas in Madurai city of Tamil Nadu, India. This was the start of the terrorising activity of audiences by sun pictures by creating extremely waste over hypes for a nothing movie. Even though this movie was a hit the storyline copies, in fact, it is an plagiarizing work of the kamal hasan starrer GUNA and it had a real boring second half. But thanks to sun pictures it has been declared a hit.

The song Nakka Mukka, a kuthu (folk) song and Thozhiyai.., a melodious romantic song were very successful hits composed by young music director Vijay Antony and was one of the main reasons as to why the film attracted the public. Vijay Antony copied the music of Rihanna's Unfaithful in the song "Unnaku Enna Naan".

These sensational music scores by Vijay Antony also made him popular and furthered his career as now he is composing the music for upcoming films such as Vettaikaaran.

New is a successful Tamil language film released in july 9 2004, in which S .J. Suryaah and Simran playing the lead role apart from directing and producing the film. Co stars include Devayani and Kiran. New is a film about a 8 year old boy turns into a 28 year old man by a Scientist. New is inspired by the Hollywood film "Big". The film was also remade in Telugu as Naani which had Mahesh Babu and Amisha Patel in the lead roles. The Telugu version also directed by S .J. Suryaah.
Box office

The film grossed $10 million at the box office. The film's music by noted composer A.R.Rahman had created waves in the audio market. However, the movie was banned by the Madras High Court in August 2005, a year after it collected huge revenues in the box office on the grounds of "arousing sensual feelings" of its viewers, especially the young.

Story :

Arundhati (Anushka) is the great grand daughter of the Raja of Gadwal Mahasamsthan. Arrangements are being made for her marriage. Nagashree visits her native place before marriage. Her beau (Arjan) asks her to come to the fort of Gadwal, where she faces a horrible experience. Learning the history from an aged servant maid Chandramma (Manorama), Arundhati comes to know that she is a look alike of her great grandmother Arundhati/Jejamma (Anuska).

Jejamma is an expert in painting, dancing and martial arts(essential skills for princesses). She has an elder sister who is married off to her father's nephew Pasupathi (Sonu Sood). Pasupathi a womaniser rapes the women he likes and kills those who objects. Jejamma's sister commits suicide and the people of Gadwal thrash Pasupathi severely and tie him to his horse. Though Gadwal celebrates his death, he is saved by Aghoras(saints who practice dark arts). Pasupathi masters the tantrik arts and returns to Gadwal to exact his revenge.

Pasupathi unleashes carnage as he uses his powers to torture innocent people. Jejamma performs a special dance mixed with martial arts to lull Pasupathi and then cuts off his tongue(thus ending the incantations) and pins his hands. She spares him from killing to prevent him from becoming a 'pretatma'(a demonic poltergeist). Pasupathi is buried alive in a tomb and powerful 'yantras'(defensive spells) with inscriptions from Vedas and holy scriptures are put on it to prevent the 'pretatma' from coming out. Jejamma then as a final countermeasure sacrifices her own life my going through intense torture. She is burnt alive and her bones are fashioned into a dagger. The one weapon that could destroy Pasupathi forever.

After this revelation through flashback, a worker in a trance, unknowingly breaks the tomb and releases the 'pretatma'. The revenge drama ensues again. Anwar (Sayaji Shinde) who treats patients through sorcery tells her that she is none other than Jejamma and asks her to fight Pasupathi. From the portrait of Jejamma which was painted by jejamma herself during her last days before leaving the fort, Arundhati comes to know that her great grandmother had prepared a 'weapon' with her own bones and had kept it with some tribals. Anwar and Arundhati proceed to procure the weapon and in this process Anwar meets with an accident and falls off a cliff.

Arundhati, believing that Anwar is dead and is left with no option returns to the fort to surrender herself to Pasupathi, to prevent the death of her family members. Anwar, who survives the fall, collects the weapon and hands it to Arundhati. The Aghoras who crafted the weapon for Jejamma tell Anwar that the wepon has to be soaked in Arundhathi's blood before it can be used otherwise it will not work. Arundathi tries to kill Pasupathi using the weapon without being soaked in the blood but it does not work. Before Anwar tells the secret about the weapon being soaked in blood, Pasupathi kills him. Without any option, Arundhati tries to kill herself with the same weapon and in the process the weapon gets soaked in her blood. The Dagger glows bright and the power incantations inscribed on it glow with energy and Arundhati kills Pasupathi.

Story :

The film's plot revolves around CBI officer Kanthaswamy, along with his friends, granting the wishes of the needy people who write letters to a local Lord Muruga Temple, disguised like an anthropomorphic chicken. During a CBI income tax raid, he discovers that Ponnusamy, a rich entrepreneur, has plenty of black money. To escape the questioning, Ponnusamy pretends to be paralyzed. The event angers his daughter Subbulakshmi and goes after Kanthaswamy, pretending to love him, seeking revenge. This forms a cat and mouse chase between the two. While he is also sought after by a local police inspector who tries to solve the mystery of "Lord Muruga saving the people," the fate of Kanthaswamy's disguise leads into the climax of the story.​
