who can tell us sarath fonsekas economic development plans ? is he capable of handling large scale economic projects ? i just want to see someone who can really build this country! we need someone who can rebuild this country and improve the stranded of living. i have planned to vote for sarath because im sick of the corruption rate we are having at the moment. mahinda lost his good name just because of his pawl sangsthaawa and money hunger. but i can see he has done massive construction projects when i checked his website

1] SF can handle massive complex projects and bring them into successful completion.

Elam War 4 is the best example. A war is not just fighting. Its a massive logistical, humanitarian and civil engineering operation as well.

2] To develop the economy you need to eliminate corruption.

Today business people dont want to invest because they have bribe and take permission from raja pavula for any big project and they demand millions.

3] To complete large economic projects, you need the ability to organise teams of experts and get them to work without in-fighting. SF has shown this during the war.

He gave responsibilities to young officers who were capable and were not scared of taking risks. He created task forces who fought the LTTE on every possible front untill the enemy ran out of people and weapons.

This is how large projects can be handled. You need expert teams of "can do" people who can take big challenges and work for a deadline.

SF's motto is "I can do it"

Dont worry about SF, he already has the best people on the job. Ranil, for all his weaknesses is a good planner. Mangala is a good organiser and the JVP is good at grass-roots work.

SF has a winning team and I am sure this team of his will help him to develop the country.

With due respect to your deceased brother, However I have to say that this does not at all mean that you are aware of the situation of the country. How can you come to the conclusion that you are aware of the "country situation" more than anyone else ??

I have no belief that sarath fonseka can develop the economy, he has no track record in this aspect. However considering that the UNP has a good track record gives confidence of future economic management. Add; the fact that the current goverment is absolutely useless in managing the economy.
