these are election monitors...

What the president is pointing out to are the OBSERVERS ! .. which their report cannot be taken as the ground reality since they observed the overall process.

The Monitors here overlooked the inner working progress of the election which was fair and peaceful.

But, the question arises as to the problem of what happened to the election results after it was sent to temple trees?

lol....the CW is the official ones called by the EC...well anyways...these 10,000 monitors too didn't seem to find anything wrong.......nor report foul play.....

the monitors watched the counting....i bet they took some tally of the votes....right....

so ur saying.....that MR...took these votes...and switched his and SF's names around or something....and expected all these monitors including the CW...not to notice....

OMG...the CW is there to observe and report any misgiving to the investigation team if needed....the CW HAS an INVESTIGATION TEAM too....they special in frauds of all kinds....

they did so with the Iraqi & Afghan elections...but America being America brushed one off & made the other a big deal...

The usual practice which governed from the SWRD's election as following.

1. The counting center head collects and ads up the votes.
2. Sends to the Election commissioner for the official bearing.
3. The counting center official releases his results which is aired by media as "unconfirmed vote results"
4. Election commissioner approves the results and releases after two- three hours to all media organization.


But the Process that followed this time.

1. The voting results from the counting centers were directly routed to the temple trees skipping the Counting center head, The polling center heads and the Election commissioner.

2. results were issued only to Rupavahini, whom they distributed to other channels.

The only free media organization in the country was surrounded by the Army. All people who challenged their poling results were either arrested or silenced. (ex: arresting of 3 people who voiced their opinion against the government)

SF - 24,001

This was taken written down the by the Collecting Center head, which happens to be a father of a friend of mine.

The final results which was broad casted over

MR - 28,460
SF - 16,461

...........

All polling results were signed authorized by the Deputy Commisioner of elections W.P. Sumanasiri.

Where was the Commissioner of Elections ?

Admitted to the Apollo Hospital Emergency room without bearing a name to be treated to a sudden heart attack.


2. Nothing to prove here on it. It was stated from the beginning that election results will ONLY be issued to Rupavahini !


3. Eeerrr.....the legal officer and HRM of Maharaja happens to be pretty good friends of mine.

hmm.. I don't think just because you vote for a certain candidate, you become a stupid or an intelligent person.

It's rather the whole concept of loosing the rights of our democracy through the rogue and un-ethical procedure in manipulating the election results.

Also, it will be not just the people who voted.. but all of us will go through the suffering (if there to be any) of this whole issue.

Just becuase you have an option to get out.. not all of us do ! .. and personally, i would always choose to fight rather than quit

I totally agree with nash..!of course There is no a democratic sri lanka anymore... Even I argued abt this same topic with my friends and even loss some of them. I donno y da hell they cant understand this simple theory that u r trying to point out nash. As a honest patriot im also so worried about Sri lanka and the way they are trying to rule the country. U guys should come and see the way the government rule the country here in Australia ( I donno abt other countries) We are frogs in the well & will never wanna try to come out it..! I dont know politics much but I simply loved the future plans that SF pointed out. Its not bcoz I hate mahinda or his party . Its bcoz those are completly expressed for the sake of our country. Not really mate.

The law requires you to make a case against the result... which usually takes months to prepare and USUALLY almost an year for any final decision.

Sadly those are the loop holes of law

Then again, no one needs to lead me..non of us are blind I presume
