i don't really think it's the modem. tell those guys over at slt that there's something wrong with ur internet connection, without mentioning modem, and they'll probably fix.

ill tell u a little trick to keep ur modem and connection alive. when u r connected to the internet, execute this command in the run window.

ping yahoo.com -t

this will send unlimited amount of packets and will keep the conn alive without disconnecting.
