a beautiful movie...with a different perspective of life...well thats what i thought this film was about..bt i guess its open for different interpretations... :)
    i've gotta see this again..

this one's definitely one of my favorites.

for me its about learning to let go of lifes lil imperfections..your sorrows, guilt, hate and desires and other sinful thoughts and to except life for what it is. the old guy in the movie finally makes his peace with his empty painfully cold life :P this is one hell of a cheering up movie for me. ...and i don't think this one can have many meanings though

hmm yeah those kids he to whom he gives a ride are supposedly symbols of young version of him, that girl and his cousin :) remember at one scene the girl was picking wild strawberries and his cousin comes and kisses her..there she says something about staining her apron which symbolizes the loss of her purity as to him. its just amazing what he does with movies :)also watch viridiana its got symbolism like hell

Master of the surrealism Luis Buñuel has a film called "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" and it blew my brain in to pieces ....ha ha ha ha. I invite u guys, who praised Bergman's "Persona" "Though the glass darkly" and Trakovsky's works to have a go for this surreal film.

totally totally totally loved this...a pure masterpiece... :)
this tells us about a quest of a knight , a crusader , in search of gods existence , death , faith and life...
loved the opening scene , the procession of the penitents , and the dance of the dead...mind blowing..
wat ingmar bergman does with movies is awesome...the imagery and all...
