What struck me was not only the sad part of it.its supper complex plot.
dont know most ppl who rated this movie so high in IMDB had understood it enough.
after releasing of director's cut metacrtic gave this movie a above 90% rating.
it surly deserved it!

He lived in tangent universe until he threw back that artifact(jet engine) to primary universe. Starting from his night walk to rabbit.((Frank) manipulated dead))So he did that.By help of frank,grandma of death,his teacher ect.All helped him( knowing or without knowing) step by step until he succeed...

Upon succeeding, he prevented tangent universe being developed and destroying the primary universe with it and which would lead to a black hole.

So no one knew he had prevented that tangent universe.only donnie knew.
Since there is no tangent universe after preventing it.his death is inevitable.coz sign of the artifact is inevitable.
so he was killed by falling of a jet engine(the artifact)
His girl friend never knew Donnie(director's cut ending).coz movie was progressed inside the tangent universe.
(what a great movie!!!!!!!)

You got all that from the first run?...I had to watch 2 times to get the idea..and you call this not confusing.....but agreed really is a great movie..

just finished watching this :

A bunch of lesbian, dry humping, psychopath bitches.
Few good cat fights, boobs and booty but a totally worthless movie.
Its trying to be serious and funny at the same time. Like during a serious cat fight between the major characters, there's actually the sound of cats growling!

i wna watch this was checking out some youtube clips and didn't even notice horribly bad acting

what i did was follow this movie frame by frame ha haha.it took me more than 2 and half hours to finish.
U could understand the story well if u have given enough attention to every word in his fictional book "Philosophy of Time Travel".
