Buddhist monks on march to Temple Trees

About a thousand Buddhist monks are marching on Temple Trees from the Sri Jayawardenapura University to protest against the establishment of a private Bhikku University in Pallekele.

The marchers had left the University a short while ago.

The monks are also protesting against the Vice Chancellor of the University who had allegedly threatened some monks who had gone to his office to discuss a problem they faced.
