Hip Hop artist, Kanaan's song Wavin Flag has been chosen as the official song for the FIFA World Cup of Soccer in 2010. Somali born Canadian raised Kanaan is a rare talent, an artist creating critically acclaimed "conscious" Hip Hop with a message from a base in Canada.
K'naan's family fled the violence in Somali and landed in Toronto where he grew up in the suburb of Etobicoke.

I knew then he was destined for big things. It is great to see the development of K'naan as an artist as he journeyed from war torn Mogadishu to Toronto and now back to Africa where he is on a FIFA sponsored tour.
