This church is in existence for the past 25 years or so, patronized by the people living in the 4th Lane of Rajagiriya. This definitely, is not a new construction, but the construction of the permanent building now destroyed was completed only recently. Yesterday, around 3 pm, the UDA, 60 policemen along with another team of riot police demolished the building of the church using a back-hoe machine, disregarding the protests of the faithful and the residents of the area, claiming this church to be an 'unauthorized' construction
