Murali ends his 133-Test career with 92 wickets more than Shane Warne, who was his rival for so many years. The great Australian played in 13 more Tests but his supporters would claim most of his victims possessed greater talent than those of the Sri Lankan

They have a strong case. Murali took 176 wickets against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, while Warne managed only 17. Furthermore, Warne found a way to take wickets and affect matches even when the conditions did not favour his bowling.
