When I born, I black
When I grow up, I black
When I go in Sun, I black
When I scared, I black
When I sick, I black
And when I die, I still black

And you white fellow
When you born, you pink
When you grow up, you white
When you go in sun, you red
When you cold, you blue
When you scared, you yellow
When you sick, you green
And when you die, you gray

And you calling me colored?

This part is totally BS. This poem is well over 40 years old as I've read this in a 60s Reader's Digest magazine that my dad has.

Well I tried to google the author or the source of this poetry...

But there is nothing out there...

Some places I saw it is the best poem of 2008...

And as kosandpol said, yes it must be written a long ago...

Anyway whoever wrote this, he or she has got great talent...But still is hidden somewhere...

"colored man" is the term the white people called the Africans in the old days. That poem was specifically targeted at the British.
