Chakithaya goes international again on MTV - Music television
Hiya fellow Nemesites,
You know there is got to be something important and exciting when you spot something about Nemesis
Yeah so they do their little talking... and yeah, they also put their words into actions.
It was no joke when they said Chakithaya goes International, well, as most of you might know, it did go all the way to the Netherlands to Radio Netherlands (http://blogs.rnw.nl/southasiawired/2010/08/05/its-time-for-some-desi-rock).
But things refused to stop just there, the song happened to catch the attention of YET ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL MUSIC NETWORK...
This time it is none other than the big "MTV [Music Television]".
Yes... you heard it right, it's the international MTV [Music TV], not Maharaja's MTV.

It all started during one of those usual band hangout sessions, when they received an unexpected phone call... an international phone call. A couple of minutes, emails, uploads and months later, they proudly present to you the news that Nemesis is the first and only Sri Lankan Rock/Metal Band to have its music video out and available on MTV [Music Television].
And what is interesting is, the song was sung in our native language, Sinhala. For a band who is solely based in Sri Lanka, this is something that we as a Sri Lankan Rock/Metal Band are extremely proud of. \m/
Looking at the airplay Chakithaya has been getting on local tv stations, and the number of non-rock music lovers who have come up and said that Chakithaya has opened their eyes to the genre of Rock music, they believe that Chakithaya and its video have brought a somewhat change in the Sri Lankan music scene of Sinhalese Rock. hope their little track here would help give Rock music its' rightful place that it deserves among the Sri Lankan Music scene.
They also want to stress on the fact that this is indeed a milestone in their lives, Nemesis as a Band and as musicians would never forget.
They were in for a lot of criticism when they worked on Chakithaya, some even went up to the extent of telling them that they are going to be failures. So for all you people who said so, Nemesis gives you, THE BIGGEST FAILURE "Chakithaya featured and up on MTV - Music Television".
Nemesis wants to take this occasion to thank everyone who helped them over the years to this very date. Words cannot express how grateful they are to each and everyone of you all. If individual names were to be said, the list would be endless. You know who you guys are. So thank you all once again. \m/ They would also like to say a big thanks to all our fans out there, who are growing in numbers. It is you guys who motivate them to keep doing what they do best.
