It seems ur overall rating system is too low lol!
And to tell u one thing rating is not just for the enjoyment u get.There are other factors,like Acting,Direction,Screenplay,Cinematography,camera work,Music ect..and more importantly artistic aspect of it.
Its true if u cant enjoy a particular movie u cant see any brilliance of above factors.We cant expect each of the posters will do rating with understanding.But understanding it ,is somewhat important !!

Very true! The things I'm not an expert in judging those mentioned aspects.. So I'd rather stick to this method of rating

Yes I agree most of his movies are dealing with world war II. His father was murdered by soviets known as Katyn massacre. I think that is the reason he make Katyn movie.

Beau travail (1999)-Claire Denis 6.9/10 IMDB my rating 90%
loosely based on Herman Melville's novella Billy Budd.

Spellbinding!! Very underrated due to lack of votes maybe.After finishing this i searched for the director and found out "35 Shots of Rum (2008)" also from same director .Saw it last year .That movie also mesmerizing.
Anyway metacritics has given it the score it deserved 91% and "35 shots of Rum" a 92%

Anyway I have seen Hindi movie adopted by this one which diminish the element of surprise of this film
Yet this tops making Bollywood unskillful even in imitating
