Machan I have a problem

I have a Desktop PC and a Laptop. Desktop is using windows XP and Laptop is running on Windows 7. Now I have an ADSL line plugged in to the Desktop and got a bluetooth dongle too. Laptop has the bluetooth thing inbuilt. So what I want to do is create a VPN or a LAN (If it's possible) and share the internet connection via bluetooth. I have tried couple of days now and still can't figure a way out to do this. Is this possible. Can you please explain me how to do this if it's possible Thanks
