Girl Raped : 14-year-old in midnight rape horror

One person was taken into custody for allegedly sexually molesting an under-aged girl at Aralagamwilla in the Polonnaruwa district, police said today.

The said 14-year-old victim was repeatedly molested over a period of days after midnight at her tiny home while her father was away guarding his chena cultivation from elephants.

The victim’s mother is currently employed as a domestic in West Asia, thereby the suspect had easy access to the girl who was alone at night, police added.
