    Oldboy (2003, Korean) - 7.5+/10

Super film. i've watched an hindi version of this, they copy every thing =/
couldn't enjoy this to the max since i knew the story from the beginning. not for that i would have given this a much higher rating.

I saw the hindi remake as well ..stupid bastard ruined the movie ..they had dumbed it down for the indian audience..and the really fucked up twist wasn't in the remake.

this movie is only the second of park chan wooks famous revenge trilogy... watch the first one as well its good... it's called sympathy for mr. vengeance..it tops this one.

dude, wut have you been watching?? those two were totally similar. both movies had protagonists making friends with other racists and joining neo-nazi groups because of some injustice that happened to their families in the past. well recent past may be...and both of them come to realize as the movies go on that its not the right way ..very very similar..only the ending in this is england was less tragic.

wanted mention about it's graphical interface just over looking it. of course, the context or script is totally similar… no argument! both these films has reflected opinion of the general public, mostly economically deprive community. most of those people live in the council houses/flats, provided by the central government free of charge included living allowance as a benefit, in uk. specially young generation bear this stance because they face difficulties finding employment after school. due to their poor social back ground, these people see the foreign community or the migrants as their primary threat for their local jobs.

Going beyond, those two nations have a habit of imitate each other... even today eg. American idol & x factor in their tv series etc etc.:P
