being a parent is a huge responsibility which they have 2 fullfill in all aspects.
i say this bcz i have realized this from people around me and people i know.

about the foundation,
i have alot of friends who go 4 this at universities abroad.
i was sceptical about this considering the pressure i had 2 go thru during my a'level years (i was doing science subjects).
so how can u cover so much material in 1 year.
now im doin a pre-med course where my a'level knowledge plays an important role.
so i think a'levels are really important.

Well parenting without providing their children with those opportunities, always lead to major problems between parents and children, as adult children, want independence as soon as possible. That's the whole point I am making.


Now you are a science student, and of course it's your choice, of doing ALs, if you think it's relevant for your particular course.

But you need to understand that only in SL, that they cover so much material for the last 2 senior years in school, which is only distasteful for the majority of students, who cannot make it to the top 10% of passers. But in the developed world, most of those AL concepts are left to be taught at the university level, simply because they consider those to be too advanced for a school student. Now I can say that responsibly for at least for the business/ accounting fields.

Now for most of us, at the end, it's not about what we cover but whether we can get a good degree by passing its exams, at the youngest age. Maybe that's not something you agree but rather you want to cover as much material as possible .
