Well parenting without providing their children with those opportunities, always lead to major problems between parents and children, as adult children, want independence as soon as possible. That's the whole point I am making.
Now you are a science student, and of course it's your choice, of doing ALs, if you think it's relevant for your particular course.
But you need to understand that only in SL, that they cover so much material for the last 2 senior years in school, which is only distasteful for the majority of students, who cannot make it to the top 10% of passers. But in the developed world, most of those AL concepts are left to be taught at the university level, simply because they consider those to be too advanced for a school student. Now I can say that responsibly for at least for the business/ accounting fields.
Now for most of us, at the end, it's not about what we cover but whether we can get a good degree by passing its exams, at the youngest age. Maybe that's not something you agree but rather you want to cover as much material as possible.
1st of all im not in SL,I live in tanzania which in my opinion has 1 of the most complex education systems.
believe me 1 know.
so when u go thru those 2 yrs of high school adapting to university degree demands will be easier.
when it comes to studyn age does not matter,i realized that when i joined uni.
some of my classmates are in their late 30s.
