Fonseka’s Jailor Reported Sacked

Jailor E.K.D. Duminda who accompanied former Army Commander Gen. Sarath Fonseka to courts has been interdicted yesterday without any given reason.
Reliable prison sources told The Sunday Leader on line that Jailor Duminda was sacked without any charges and claimed that it is believed the reason behind the interdiction was because the jailor could not prevent Gen. Fonseka from talking to the media at the court house.
“The jailor’s job is to provide security to the General and to bring him back to the prison safely. How could he control the former Army Commander from talking to the media? If he to stop the General talking to the media then the Prisons Department should have make special arrangements for that. The police and army too were there then they would have not allowed the media to come near courts without sacking an innocent prison officer,” claimed the sources.
