I haven't had any virus/malware/spyware issues with my PC till now... I use two pcs with a core2duo 2.2 and an i7... haven't felt any difference in the performance using ESET and MSE which I did feel with KasperskyIS.
One of my friends uninstalled KasperskyIS recently and scanned is with ESET and found out 46 viruses that got through Kaspersky so the person who said that ESET is not effective is proved wrong...

I would also recommend Avast because its free and has a good detection rate and its hassle free.

So my recommendations would be
1. Eset Smart Security (can be used with MSE or Malwarebytes antimalware)
2. Avast

Check Norton Internet Security 2011, many reviews are positive on that as well because supposedly they have rewritten the whole program and that its now less of a resource hog than Kaspersky.

I agree with you machan....I also have used kaspersky and felt the same.....jus wantd to knw more about MSE.now that also cool....thanx a lot bruv :)

i was talking about esetnod32 antivirus not smart security.well, after uninstalling eset and installing avast i found few viruses in my com and i didnt use internet during the removal and installation.so im pretty sure nod32 missed them.but you should try up to date reviews in order to choose the best.

hmm then i'm pretty sure it's cz ESET Antivirus doesn't detect spyware and stuff which comes from internet connection.it's not like ESET Smart Security.
When talking about Avast, from the pic u uploaded u can see it covers all criterias :D
anyway thanx for info bruv :)

Machan Antivirus software detects mainly viruses. It doesn't cover up spyware and other harmful viruses comes from mails etc.
But internet Security does it all.It does the job of antivirus software and in addition it detects harmful stuff comes from internet :)

Y don't you talk about Bitdefender Total Security 2011. I ' using it few weeks now since it causes me no problem at all with better performance and protection.

I have used several antiviruses(internet security suits) which are available on the market.

1. Used Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 for about 3-4 months and its quite good with the new crack. But found it always troubling me with its messages. And with some malware or virusus it could not remove. Also it slowed my PC a lot. Takes a lot of time to update and search. :(

2. Tried Eset Smart Security 4 , its good, fast, better performance. But couldn't find a better crack or serial :(
If anybody have please give me a full updatable cracked version of it. then i'll shift back to it :D

3. Used AVG Internet Security 2011. Good. fast , removes most of the viruses which kaspersky could not. But I always suspect it to be the best antivirus , because it still not the best in the market. ALso found a good key :)

4. Used Bitdefender Total Security 2011. Best performance, loads of features and quick update and quick search. And found a good crack too

Main reasons to use them are because they are easy to crack and easy fast performance. Since I dont want to spend mony on antiviruses I now use BitDefender. :)

yah...sorry machan I forgot to add it.I agree with you.Bitdefender is #1 in most of the reviews. And also I agree with you about ESET Smart Security review. But I don't believe that AVG is better than kaspersky.Of course it should be faster than kaspersky. But I don't think it's that effective compared to kaspersky's too much of security :D
anyway thanx a lot for your ideas.....It's very useful :)

    Use ESET for best protection..

    * Eset nod32 has a smart scanner that detects threats at the earliest point in system startup to ensure your PC is always secure! It inspects SSL-encrypted communication channels like HTTPS and POP3S and also scans compressed files to find most hidden threats!
    * Email is another source of entry for viruses and malwares.Eset nod32 antivirus scans emails in most popular email clients like Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail, and other POP3/IMAP mail clients, ans ensures your email is free of viruses and other threats!
    * Removable Media is another popular source for virus infection. How often you get infected through USB pen drives? For self-running media, ESET NOD32 Antivirus scans autorun.inf and associated files when the medium is inserted, in addition to scanning any file on any removable device when it is accessed, or during a full-scan of the media. Power users can adjust ESET NOD32 Antivirus to perform additional levels of scanning on removable media.
    * Eset nod32 also offers system tools like ESET SysInspector and ESET SysRescue to simplify diagnosing and cleaning of infected systems by allowing deep scans of system processes to find hidden threats! you can also create bootable rescue CD/DVD or USB drives to help you repair an infected computer!
    * Virus designers have become smarter these days! Some of the most deadly viruses corrupt or disable antivirus softwares before they act upon the rest of the PC! However antivirus software like ESET NOD32 has built-in self defense technology to prevent malicious software from corrupting or disabling it!
