    Dark Knight

    Re watched
    A true Masterpiece

No wonder this is the seventh highest-grossing film of all time
    My Ratings 9.5

Director has done his usual work without wasting a damn second
you never notice 2 hrs 20 minutes passed

What intrigues me is Nolan's subscription to the storyline , proving he's not just a director. Only other director in the same league I can think of is Mr night shyamalan who recently screwed up

Eventhou the movie count as pure thriller you may find lilbit artistic in a way that average person can bear without beating himself to sleep

Waiting for the next batman movie which is to be released on next year

Nolan's WHAT to the story line ?? :baffled::confused:

Dark Knight is so good because of the source material. The graphic novels this movie was based (Frank Miller's Killing Joke) on were really great.
Also Batman comics are always above the other comics because of the complex nature of the characters.
Dark Knight sold on 2 things. Excellent story and Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker. All the others did perform well but Ledger simply stole the show. He's the only actor who did justice to that character. Even the great Jack Nicholson didn't play a good Joker.
Credit goes to Nolan for selecting the original comic book versions of the characters and not the TV series versions as well as selecting excellent stories to adapt.

Nolan is a co writer of the story is he not ?

As we all know Nolan's almost all of the creations are based of human nature
as Ex:- Insomnia based on poor choice that man could make when he act on his whims

And this Dark Knight also based on human inclination to be bad yet majority of ppl still believe in good and stuff like that

So considering the common factors of Nolans other creations and Dark Knight
I can only assume that Nolan had given significant contribution to the storyline.

But I see you have the facts

obviously, he's good at adaptation of others works..

I haven't really seen it to say anything about it.

His taste is focused on human nature then :)

Anyway Nolan better stop Batman from Dark Knight Rises
Dragging movies on same nature almost all cases end up ruining the reputation

Lets say his selection is good :)

nolan's still only trying to find his way into the place where some movies makers have gone with the theme of human nature..

He should be still trying to make the viewers boring as well while others already have developed the habit :)

I think it's the other way around ..he's dumbing down his movies to appeal to the general american audience...that's why I say he's sucking up to the audience...he doesn't have that quality he had when he did movies like the following or memento

    Second watch.
    A brilliant adaptation.

This trailer does the movie some justice :

The 'Tis Mine! 'Tis Mine!! 'Tis Mine and I shall have it (around 1.10 in the trailer) is pure Al Pachino genius.

See Twisted majority of the ppl who watched Inception on a film hall had hardly understood and had to re watch later on. look imbd comments yourself.

So upto a certain extent what is you are saying is true but I dont think Nolan completely fell for the publicity.

At least he had united two ends of movie fan base

one who was watching what ?
Like Karate Kid, Knight and Day
and the other end like you guys who was watching Donnie Darko , No Country for old men... etc

You can see all over the google that some of them even had drew graph to explain the dream levels of Inception and had good discussion together.

    Dont you think ?
    of coz you are not

didnt you say you fell asleep with Memento some time back ?
So he's managed to already do that.

memento ? You must have seriously mistaken kos. If there is any movie that is boring of Nolan is Insomnia
But its is 2,3 times exciting than other good boring movies I couldnt fathom like Donnie Darko and Machinist
