Just to give an idea for you all.
All drugs comes in 2 components:
1. Active drug(the part brings about the desired biochemical effects)
2. Excipient(compound(s) that helps to keep the active part stable, etc. eg. majority of a pill, cream bases liquid parts etc.)
Both these plus the final products are(should) formulated according to mainly British pharmacopoeia, USpharmacopoeia, Indian pharmacopoeia etc.(Books with methods of manufacturing drugs)
Even then if by chance a change in drug composition, is mainly due to change in excipient rather than the active component.
And the standards which they manufacture also plays a part.
Both parts can cause undesirable effects.
If active part causing the problem no matter the brand.
But if the other part causing problems sometimes(only) brand may be of importance. (assuming quality more or less same)
one more thing!
Nothing is 100% good.(consider only physical not spiritual
)
If you have too much water you will end up in water intoxication!!!
So drugs are same and are used mostly in safe doses & after weighing harm against benefits to the patients...!!!
