NFF urges Russia, China to defend SL

The National Freedom Front (NFF/JNP) yesterday urged Russia and China to defend Sri Lanka against the report issued by the United Nations Experts Panel.
“We call on Russia and China to stop the United States, France and Britain from monopolizing the UN. The UN has failed as an organization for world peace and as such Russia and China must set up a new world order,” NFF MP Piyasiri Wijenayake told the media.
He described UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as a US puppet and claimed Mr. Ban was being used as a pawn in a conspiracy to take President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“We will not allow them to do this, we will protest any move to take our war heroes to the ICC. It will only be done over our dead bodies,” Mr. Wijenayake said.
He accused Mr. Ban of presenting the report as one issued by the UN.
“The panel was set up to advice him but Mr \ban is presenting the report as a UN report. The UN consists of more than 190 countries and no panel can be set up without a resolution passed in the General Assembly and no country can be investigated for war crimes without the approval of the Security Council,” Mr. Wijenayake said.

Sri Lanka asked the United Nations on Thursday not to publish a forthcoming report on alleged war crimes during the island's ethnic, saying it could set back reconciliation efforts.
Foreign Minister G. L. Peiris said UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon should not release the report, compiled by a panel of experts who studied alleged rights abuses and crimes against humanity during the war which ended in 2009.
"The publication of this report will cause irreparable damage to the reconciliation efforts of Sri Lanka. It will damage the UN system too," Peiris told reporters in Colombo.
"This UN report is preposterous."

what ever the situation i think we should back our motherland. As i get info from inside sources the report is not only on war crimes but about other matters as well such as toucher camps, kidnappings & treats to media. most of these allegations are false as we know. some of media personals left country becos of personal issues, but they are also credited to the gov. account. I'm not backing Mahinda or any person but my motherland.
Remember this. If a allegations were probed & if UN start a legal action against sri Lanka, not mahinda but gentlemen like Gen sarath fonseka , Col. Ghotabhaya rajapaksha , Maj.Gen. Kapila Hendavitharana , & other military top brass will also be charged. THIS SHOULD NOT ALLOWED TO BE HAPPEN AS ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE OURS.
I will back my motherland in this situ. even the president is mahinda, Gen Sarath Fonseka or other as THIS IS MY MOTHERLAND.........!!!!!!!!!!!!
