    Congratulation.....Mcn i dont know the truth about rebranding bt ive heard that on multiple occassions.i'll ask about that from toyota lanka in my next service. VIC oil filter is a paper based one bt its japanese and toyota genuine gilter offerd by toyota lanka is product of PRC...originall one came with my prwvious toyota vehicles was a denso brand...so i do reccomend VIC filter( make sure its authentic)...few months ago there was a test done by a owner comparing those two VIC performed better in that..As far as i know 0w-20 is the most suitable one(please refer to the manual) but if the car has done more than 1 lakh kms they reccommend 5w-30 but its important that you stick to the oil that previous owner used (as the engine has adapted to that viscocity) ...synthatic oil is the best and service intervals are in 10000 kms while mineral has to be changed in 5000kms....if you can afford dont hesitate go for toyota fully synthatic and change it in every 7500kms....enjoy the new ride.....

    I'm not sure about this re-branding thing, but mobil is a very good oil as far as I know. There's nothing wrong with using it. choose the company recommended grade, which is 5W30 or 10W30, otherwise you may damage your engine. Japanese made VIC filter is the best in the market. so keep using it.

    I don't have professional answer for that. But I heard some negative comments on Toyota products. Mobil , vic brands are rated highly in society.
