AI is very good at everything related to Data Science. Staying in a devops role is actually a better idea. If you really need to pick one, go for a software engineer role.

U asked the same question few months back..

Answer is same: Go for it (Datascience)

I wouldnt recommend going for dev though

My rationale. If something goes wrong you can always go back to devops

But Data science area the salary ceiling is higher than devops.

Im also kinda like u. My degree is on DS. But working as a devops engineer cuz i couldnt find any data science jobs when i was looking for a job

Thanks. At that time I didn't do any projects and only dedicated for the DevOps. But now my work is done with DevOps and I'm working with data science/software engineer projects in these days. My manager is said AI can replace the data science fully than dev. But your point is correct. If something goes wrong I can switch to DevOps easily. But both dev and DS have high salary in here

    Same goes for devops
    Exactly, that was my doubt.
