Correct... I noticed... Mozzies have survived since early Triassic (over 200 million years) and they have been biting primates and humans for nearly 2 million years or more.
Rather than evolution someone could genetically engineer a mosquito. Scientists have already done so to reduce mosquito populations. Some are against it.
Even then transmission of HIV will not be viable due to low titers that a mosquito could carry.
