1.Thanks to Ranil's tax reforms and important 3 legislation passed during his time, because of that CB is independent and NPP gov cant do whatever they want. Only thing they manage is investment inflow.
2.Government revenue is not an indicator of how a country is doing. Some of those tax incomes are not sustainable. (ex Vehicle imports)
3.Sri Lanka lacks investor confidence, and declining FDIs could cause serious issues in the future
We are losing investor confidence due to arrogant decision-making with investors, sudden project cancellations, and the coal issue that caused chaos in the energy sector. All of this was done by the NPP government. Look at what happened to the CSE FDIs after Q3 2024.
Look at point 1,2 and last below. Gov is Completely responsible
Port city is also filled with real-estate investments which is not sustainable. Its also going to waste it's potential.
