    first you have to configure a small network, like earlier said. then, you have two IP addresses for two network cards in 1st computer, isn't it ? another IP address (in same class) for laptop, isn't it ? in laptop's network settings, gateway should be 1st com's 2nd IP (connected with laptop) but...
