    most 5" + telescopes comes with built in trackers cost arnd $500-600 so tracking system alone might not be expensive much. ;) i guess that dude was using professional grade stuff :eek:

    18-135mm pretty much cover whole range for normal use. use a x2 teleconverter to double it to 270mm. + get a 50mm f1.8 that should cover all your normal use :) edit: if you photograph wildlife, birds regularly, then go for a 70-300mm :yes:
