    Actually I don't drink much either. Just some beer and socialization. I was reading about the beaches, and I guess most tourists get a beer. I never drink at home, but if someone is on vacation, they have different habits :) Which would make me curious about pubs in Colombo and beer brands...

    Is alcohol more popular with the younger generations? Men and women? My perception of India is that alcohol is only in a few of the main cities, and mostly men drink, except for the Indian women who live and visit from the UK, etc.?
