Need some help in this physics sum...

"Frictional coeficient is MUE and it is less than SQRT 3" machan if it is in limiting equilibrium the coefficient of friction cannot exceed 1. why does the Q say "it is less than SQRT 3 =1.73"..when it should be less than 1! r u sre da Q is correct?
