    I got it sorted out. The problem was caused by a software called "Connectify". Once I installed it the modems started to work fine. Anyway, thanks :)

    Guys, When ever I try to connect to the internet via usb modem I get an error "Error 31 : A device attached to the system is not functioning" :angry: I tried two usb modems and both gave same result Does anyone know how to solve this? (without formatting the machine)
