    depends man.. a degree wld certainly widen ur chances ofcos. but u sure do need AL's. mathematical knowledge wil certainly come in handy. n thr's alot more u can do after getting a CPL.. certified flight instructor.. a frozen ATPL (airline transp. pilot's license)..etc..

    the info u got so far is correct.. except that you dont really have to work for the SPL. you get it automatically as u enroll for the program. wot you basically need is the PPL, Instrument rating n then the commercial license. if u do it in the US.. u need 250 hours total with either 10 or 20...
