    Sorry my Bad......... Two completely different architectures. Core 2's spank the PentDs and the Netburst archi every which way and then some. On top of that, the shared L2 means that the same data isn't written or processed twice on 2 different cores. Basically Intel was tired of being AMD's...

    Ill try to make this as simple as possible...... If you know how a processing cycle works....A Pentium D can process only 1 piece os data in 1 cycle......An core 2 can process 4 pieces of data in one cycle ....So even if the core 2 has less" Mhz" than the Pentium D overall the core 2 is doing...
