Help! Hard Disk Error

Yes the HDD is detected, and I can get the computer booted in to the Safe Mode (with PIO only mode). The problem is with the DMA Mode. I tried uninstalling the drivers. But didn't work :( I should try re-installing windows.

I don't recommend IDM only because it's patch/crack/cracked exe has 'security holes' from which viruses can get in e.g.- MntDrCore

Help! Hard Disk Error

80 wire cables are more reliable than 40 wire cables (as far as I know). They have 'extra' ground wires to prevent interference and data corruption. I was going to buy a new HDD and I thought a 80 Wire cable would be best. :(
