Conduct a phone screen first.you can get a good guage of candidates, with a resume skim -> phone screening.in Sri Lanka company reputation and known salary plays a big part for good candidates.It also depends on what kind of work you do, whats the plan for the candidate, are you ready to invest in him growing or you want him to contribute to highly technical project from straight away. If you want to grow him, attitude plays trumps.if the latter though attitude still plays a big part, but strong technical knowledge is required. its different by case by case basis.</blockquote>
