well a wireshark sniff would tell a hacker everything....
a PC's protection is proportional to the laziness of the hacker....and inversely proportional to the talent of the hacker.....
It wouldn't tell everything when you're external to the network.
Having said that, there are ways to hack/ intrude any computer theoretically. Nothing is 100% safe unless it's not connected to a communications link.
