DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) is going to get the help of the rapid advancement of Smartphones and tablets to improve their battlefield vision systems. They believe that this technology can do something more than the special purpose systems that have been developing for fifteen or more years. Recently DARPA launched a project called PIXNET (Pixel Network for Dynamic Visualization) to develop a system to integrate multiple camera streams which captured by helmet or rifle mounted cameras, with the use of an Android based system and distribute the processed data to the helmet or arm mounted displays among the fellow combatants and the central command centers......................................................
