to make sure the nation see an end to that war was the responsibility of politicians ..they were supposed to do it, i don't personally think that politicians did us a favor, they got more outa it than what they lost.

but soldiers who fought had no strict law saying that they should go risk their lives, but as civilians once they did anyway, i think therein lied the real love for your motherland..they had no any other reason other than to save their land....but the torment of that is that, the force, the soldiers who fought, bled and died would in future be just soldiers where the leaders would be remembered...and that's even worse when things, things such as this, takes place to blacken their name further more.. i hope, no matter what history bears, the true facts will be carried on with them by people.

I'm glad you are trying to do your bit to those heros who REALLY bled for us. and you've succeeded in it, you did made us think about them and reminded us of them. good poem.

Yes Awanatha, people know the fact that soldiers are the real heroes. But opportunistic politicians are trying to wipe out the memories of soldiers and to get into peoples' mind as heroes.

ඔව් හේමන්ත.. මම හැමතිස්සෙම කියනවා වගේ ඔය එක එක දේශපාලුවන්ට සමාජේ ඔය ලොකු තැන ලැබිලා තියෙන්නෙ උන් කියන හැම දෙයටම එහෙයි කියන හෙන්චයියෝ හින්දයි. ඒ නිසා මේ වැරද්ද හදාගැනීම ඇරඹිය යුත්තෙත් සමාජය තුලින්මයි.
