Why pay 119.5 for the mid version when the top variant is available with a better warranty for 108.5?

TOP Variant??? Ativa has few more additional feature compared to the TL but not the TOP varient.

Toyota’s known for having some of the most durable cars on the market, so anything that comes with a Toyota warranty already has value.

I’m not trying to push any particular vehicle, just saying the badge itself carries some weight too.

Both Toyota and Peradua have different prices on basically the same type of car because of different features and brand value.

End of the day, it’s up to each person to decide what fits them best

Nope the badge isn't worth the extra 1.2mil you pay for it, especially when it lacks many features the Ativa has - most notably the ADAS package

4. Pedal misoperation control
5. Lane departure warning
6. Lane departure prevention
7. Adaptive cruise control
8. Lane keep control
9. Blind spot monitoring system
10. Parking sensors on all 4 corners with reversing camera
11. Rear cross traffic alert
12. Adaptive driving beam

Plus some odds and ends like the factory installed DVR + UV/Infrared proof security glass + Floor illumination etc

Plus better warranty (3Y/100K kms vs 5Y/150K kms)

However, as I said the decision is totally up to you.
If you're chasing features over everything else, go for a JDM.
If you're consider more features for a lesser price compared to the rest, Ativa makes sense.

The point I was trying to make is that apart from parking assist systems both variants (Ativa AV/Raize Z) are nearly identical so paying more for a Raize G doesn't make sense

I’m not even sure the Ativa has all the same features as the JDM, like paddle shift and everything, but it does have ADAS. End of the day, it’s just two different companies selling a car with different specs, prices, and brand values.

For example, there’s also the Rocky, but I don’t really see many people going for it. Anyway, it all purely depends on the person’s choice, so I don’t want to promote any specific vehicle.

From my side, I’d personally go for a JDM or TL, use it for about two years, and then sell it while it still has company warranty, that gives me peace of mind.

But your situation and priorities might be different, and I totally respect that.

Eh more like subsidiaries under Toyota making the same car for different markets considering Toyota totally owns Daihatsu and Daihatsu partly owns Perodua.

TL is brand new with 0 mileage, and you can also find 2025 JDM units with under 5,000 km on the clock.

Nope it has a 3yr/100K warranty. Those are assembled in SL anyway unlike Perodua (and Mitsubishi) which has been widely successful in SL.

I have actually because I own a Mitsubishi which was involved in 2 recall campaigns and have been maintaining my Mitsubishi from them since 2014 so I have met and talked with many owners (including DFSK) at their workshops.

Toyota has its own branch in Sri Lanka, so it’s much easier to resell a Toyota while it’s still under warranty.

UNIMO has their own branch network too and are way more reasonable when it comes to spare parts and labor costs

So for me, if I have the money, I’d definitely go for a Toyota over other brands.

I have seen very useless comments regarding comparing the Toyota Raize and Perodua Ativa. I own a company that brings Japanese cars from auctions to Sri Lanka. I have been doing this since the lifting of the import restriction. I have checked both cars and driven. The material quality is a bit the same. The only change I was able to get is that Perodua Ativa is tuned for Malaysian roads, and Raize is for Japanese roads (JDM model) or standard roads (import model- Indonesian). JDM models are more comfortable on rough roads than the Perodua Ativa. But, the beautiful thing is, as it seems, and considering the overall Perodua cars, the shock absorber replacement possibility is lower than Toyota, considering the condition in Sri Lanka.

Perodua Ativa comes with 5Years or 150,000Km km warranty, which is better than what Toyota offers. Considering these facts and features, with the price, the Perodua Ativa is a better option compared to the Toyota Raize. Previously, we brought the fully loaded Toyota Raize and sold it for 14M Now, we can't sell like that; we can only do around 12M. With the introduction of the Suzuki Fronx, Perodua Ativa, Toyota Taiser, and Nissan Magnite, the Raize's value has been downgraded. I think buying a Perodua Ativa would be the wise thing comparing all other comeptitior vahicles.

I saw some advertise raize JDM 2025 zero mileage for 112/=. If so best option is that one compared to ativa or Toyota Lanka raize.
