most of them don't understand English (a single word). I visited in 2009 and via Singapore (guess you know the reason why ). They like Sri Lankans but hate Indians.

i have spent 2 weeks..... best food ...and nice people.

I have friends who can converse fluently wiith an accent. When I visit them their parents treat with great hospitality but unable to communicate. Only a few words here and there.
English is poor in Mainland China too. Also they are unhelpful & unfriendly too. Onve on a taxi rank, I forgot to bring the hotel card to show them and tried with several cabs to take me to Ramada which wasn't that far but too long to walk.
Also been to Macau but along time ago.

"When I applied for a visit Visa for my son to the US. He just obtained a new passport but had travelled before to the US twice. I requested for just a multiple entry visa (because we usually travel to Canada too). On collection, informed that they issued a visa for him that's valid for the whole 10 years of his passport with multiple entry. Then I went to the Canadian embassy. After a brief look at the details, the lady in the front counter requested me to wait and they did exactly the same in just 30 mins. There seems no rhyme or reason when it comes to these matters. Anything is possible at the discretion of the issuing officer."
