if as he understood killing even for his country is a sin, it naturally might become his perspective of it. it doesn't mean that it's a fact. it's still his opinion.
and then he formed a poem out of those thoughts, sure it conveys his belief regarding this certain matter which unfortunately is offensive enough to brand one ltte or not... what readers should do is reading such poems with an open mind and take what they could and will out of it.
i believe i don't need to say what sort of msgs todays art deliver to society, relatively to which this poem seems very less harmful. and i didn't exactly bother to read the prefered thread in your early post so may be I'm here missing something but still need i say that even facts in buddhism tend to change monk to monk. and if his thoughts of this matter don't get along with your you certainly didn't have to use such offensive language. look you and I, right now carrying our arguement/coversation in a very civilized way ..why couldn't you give him the same respect you gave me. cos he looked ltte?

Atula can make his points but not in this manner he should argue about it with the people here he never argues he just slips out from the main objective and starts another govt. army bashing thread bash for the wrongs they do not for the rights - if bashed for that we come in and counter him, he never argues because he cant he knows that.

there were people like him here before to be a lil precise a-poet he wasnt high as atula but he was on the wrong track that time, and yes i bashed him for a very small reason, and hey people in EK know me better as a basher! LOL

i dont think that the mentioning the name is appropriate LOL you know no one wants others to dig into the darker sides of their lives, may be he has the same ideas he had but he can have them its his freedom but when you right a poem or an article you should put it out to the reader in a manner that the reader will think "well i didnt think of it that way, first but its right!" thats OK

You may have a different definition of living being. But your definitions can't change the laws of nature. If you do not understand an Akusala as Akusala that comes under Michcha Ditthi. The soldier is a beautiful soldier he understands but still does what he has to. In all his past lives he had commited all the sins. After he received his first Vivarana from Depankara Buddha he had committed all the sins other than Musavada, telling lies. This soldier is a beautiful human being for he loves and he is aware of what he is doing.. not because of what he is doing for protecting you.

I think it is very selfish to send some one for your own protection and try to console him with wrong definitions of what is against one's own religions basic discipline.
I feel sorry for anyone who commits 10 Akusala karmas...
In your reply you are committing the 9th Akusala.. So you wouldn't care about others.
But Nature has no system to ask your reasons for committing any bad karma. As you saw so shall you reap.
