• In 1660 it was Kandy that rescued Muslims when Dutch kicked thier asses for the 2nd time... (community still lives on today) Pangollamada mosque, Rambukandana mosque were results of these.
  
  
• After all this... in late 1880's Muslims ask English a seat in the counsil (on what grounds I wonder? ) And was rejected!
  
  
• Early 1900's extreme Muslims whom are now not in good terms with Sinhalese put up sign boards in mosques not allowing any noise within the mosque premises knowing that "Buddhist Perahara" must pass through there, and when it did they went complaining to English. (the Perahara was a tradition of 800 years and counting.. it was even older than the Muslim origins in Sri Lanka itself
  
  
• Early 1900's Muslim thugs attack Theligamuwa Upasampada Procession, English ignore the indecent
  
  
  
• In Kandy, Muslims complain to English that Wesak Dansala, is a hindrance to their business And British order to cancel the Dansela.

• 1931 Donoughmore report is opposed by both Msulims and Tamils because it will almost definitely (and rightly so) will lead to a Sinhalese rule
