Many of us know that coke is bad for you, but did you know it could do this? Check out the video below and this might shock you. Apparently this same sort of reaction also happens with Red Bull. It was created by a pharmacist named John Pemberton. Low doses of cocaine were proven to be effective in treating a variety of symptoms. Back in the day a glass of Coca-Cola used to contain an estimated nine milligrams of cocaine, but in 1903 it was removed. After 1904, Coca-Cola started using, instead of fresh leaves, “spent” leaves. To this day, Coca-Cola uses as an ingredient called a “non-narcotic coca leaf extract” and it’s prepared at a plant in Maywood, New Jersey owned by the Stepan Company.
