It is disturbing to see the comments. Most of the commenters could not understand the writer who had given some facts and figures. Prof Gunaruwan had not studied Transport and the best place to get any insight is Moratuwa Uni as they have done extensive research on our roads(Uniroads -Traffic system which was in operation for nearly half a century in Sri Lanka at a fraction of cost if done by foreign company ). So the first thing I could see was that Prof Gunaruwan's analysis to the President was through a colured glass. He wanted to condemn the project and for that he used very silly arguments.(which are childish to state even here). This would have saved millions of foreign exchage through ease of traffic congession(fuel and time saved ). But we live in a world of fake news, arguments and fake "educated" (Viyath) country.
