No I do not. Believing in a almighty god or any kind of deities is not different from believing in Buddha could do miracles and see past. Faith is the only basis to support such claims.

Mr 50 you 100% misunderstood the question. I did not asked about your beliefs. I asked you that do you accept possibilities outside the scope of your beliefs?

If you say NO; the judgement day is complete BS. I would like to know what solid basis you have behind your argument. How do you disprove it?

You are going after the person who wrote it and not the opinions he wrote? seems not that smart. In Galileo's time were there thousands of scientists in the same opinion or just him? when something is said by thousands it will appear as the truth even if it is not. It applies to everything including science.

This is exactly what church teaches. What happened to you is in desperation to find evidence against evolutionary theory, you came across with some article written by someone with a phd in completely unrelated subject. That is not how scientific society works. Journals are not something that publish articles from any passers by. Just because Galileo was considered to be wrong by majority even though he was right (and that was similar to what's happening here right now. Hardcore devotees denied his claims out of faith to their religious texts) doesn't mean every single proposal is going to be proved. It's religious people who uses thousands of people claims to make evolutionary theory appear as a lie. This is what's called fallacious reasoning. Besides I explained why he was wrong. I didn't just say I reject those claims just because he is an engineer. And this is your answer to it ? Without presenting a single incident that went against evolutionary theory you claim people believing in it doesn't make it right. Are we even debating ? I challenge you to present a single incident (even an experiment would suffice) with your explanation why and how that went against evolutionary theory with the link/links to read the article that was published in a journal. I bet anything all you could find is creationism bullshits.

You "asked" who says evolution is not a fact and i just showed you one of many articles. I was in the opinion that it is being debated so i proved my point. Wait a minute! did i told you i believe in anything? Did i reject evolution anywhere? OR did i accept it anywhere? How do you know what i believe? You seem to be good at jumping into conclusions, no wonder you believe in evolution

Of course it is being debated. Everything is being debated. Even your very existence is being debated among philosophers. That's what scientific community is. They debate on everything. It's more subtle things they are debating on which wouldn't be relevant to this debate whatsoever. And here you said that you didn't say you don't believe in evolution. Then what was this debate all about ? You don't accept it that we evolved from a primate which goes against evolutionary theory and here you say you didn't say you don't accept it. And I am the one who jumps to conclusions ?

Please don't compare law of gravity with theory of evolution. Law of gravity can be proved but evolution can't. It is like when you go to a dying person with a stab wound with a knife suddenly someone comes and you become a murderer in a hindi movie

You can have millions of evidence but it does not mean you have 100% assurance.

And where exactly did I compare the two ? It was an explanation. What this statement of yours proves is that you don't even have a clear idea about what gravity is. What I said was what falling to gravity is our origination to evolutionary theory. It's not a comparison. But now that I understand your idea about gravity is faulty let me put it this way. What if I told you that humans can't grow from infant to adult, they are just being replaced with much bigger and stronger (much smaller and weaker when it comes to the old age) duplicates while everyone is asleep or unaware of them ? How many years have you observed your child to make sure they really grow ? We having a primate ancestor is just like that. Exactly like that. Saying all the intermediate beings were just there and when it comes to humans, we were just replaced by some brahmas is the most stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. Don't misunderstand me here. I didn't say Buddha was stupid. It was perfectly normal for a man of that era to come across with such theory to explain something people knows nothing about. Stupidity is believing in the same thing after all we have found. In that sense buddhist doesn't vary much from christians and muslims. You all are being ignorant of the facts and in light of some fallacious reasoning cling on to fairy tales. It's right to say no one can be 100% that we evolved from a primate if he also accept that he can't be 100% sure about we revolving around the sun and his children are not being replaced.
Anything can make sounds stupid when used irrelevant comparisons. What you are doing here is using the system in brain which come to conclusions using emotions. Explain logically why things I say is wrong.

Don't say earth is flat because something is situated at center of 4 lands that would be hilarious. I have read that suthra but i never found the part you are talking about. If you are mislead by the term "thalaya" thalaya does not mean that a flat surface (of course that is one meaning) it is used in the meaning of a plane of existence. I challenge you to quote the part which says earth is flat

    Read this. http://www.thripitakaya.org/tipitakaya/Index/531?s=11062
If the link doesn't work properly it's in the "saththaka nipathaya" in "anguththara nikaya". It's obvious meaning is there's a 84,000 yojanas tall and deep mountain at the center of the ocean. I suggest you calculate how tall is 84,000 yojanas and compare it with diameter of the earth. When people didn't know what shape the earth is, they thought is immensely large and flat and made this theory regarding a huge mountain. What you are doing now is using it's ambiguity and interpret it as it's not our ocean buddha mentioned.

What you asked was whether I believe in a god. No I don't. How on earth should I know what you meant by that was something beyond my comprehension ? To that question, yes I do believe there could be things that's beyond my and humans ability. We are just another beings in another planet which developed a brain which was helpful in hunting and fighting against carnivorous. But that doesn't imply that every tale humans made regarding celestial things or almighty god is correct.
I reject judgement day because all the texts they say are from god is written by humans and they contradict with facts (just like I presented examples regarding Buddhism). The very basis for such a day is the existence of a god which is a lie. If P is done by Q and Q only, and Q doesn't exists, it's obvious it implies that P doesn't exists too.
So after all the logical arguments and evidence I have presented here and all your fallacious reasoning and false evidence I am the one who believe in something blindly ?

It doesn't mean its not going to be proved as well!

The sole fact that you are telling that he is an engineer suggests otherwise :D

I challenge the same thing with the golden egg 1km beneath your home ;)
Do you at least accept that everything that can't be proven wrong may not be accurate? :sorry:

What you asked was whether I believe in a god.

Do you accept (independent of what you believe) that there is a possibility (not a probability) that Islamic teaching about Day of Judgement is accurate?

In above can you see anywhere i'm asking about your beliefs? :P

The very basis for such a day is the existence of a god which is a lie.

How do you prove that god does not exist? Please be specific. What exact facts or facts lead to that conclusion?

It doesn't mean its not going to be proved as well!

Of course it doesn't mean it's false or not going to be proved. That's why I presented with evidence with facts why it's wrong and not going to be proved. Did you even read my comment ? How about highlight where have I stated something wrong or contradicts with facts ?

The sole fact that you are telling that he is an engineer suggests otherwise

I didn't say it's wrong solely because he is an engineer. What I said is engineers aren't qualified to write articles regarding biology unless he's got a degree in biology. Read arguments I presented and explain why they are wrong.

I challenge the same thing with the golden egg 1km beneath your home
Do you at least accept that everything that can't be proven wrong may not be accurate?

Of course I accept it. But that doesn't mean every unprovable statement is true. You have stated in one of your previous comments that it's unprovable to you that almighty god exists. So do you believe in god as well as buddhism ? Are you really asserting that there's a golden egg beneath my house ? Your logic in brief is "Ignore the evidence and just believe in this story just because being unprovable doesn't mean it's wrong". And this is the most reasonable thing you've learned by following Buddha's way ?

Very subtle things like it is a myth or not ? An assumption can never be a fact it is just simple as that.

That's why I have never presented assumptions here. It's you who is presenting assumptions. Karma, Sansara, Nirvana.

believing TOE as a fact is like saying "the children are being replaced, it is correct because you can't prove otherwise"

Do you have problems with understanding my sentences ? What you have said here doesn't make any sense. What evolution says is children aren't being replaced.

What do you know about Buddhism other than rocks, mountains, oceans and evolution ?

And it was perfectly fine for you to post links ? Yes it was as you have said, what the word that sutra used was "thalaya" which could mean realm too. But what I'm saying is that sutra clearly states that there is a mountain in the middle of the great ocean surrounded by 4 lands. That's exactly what I am asking you. Where is this mountain and where are these 4 lands ?
Here are the quotes you asked for.
    "මහණෙනි, සුනෙරපව්රද අයමින් සුවාසූදහසෙක් යොදුන. විතරින් සුවාසූදහසෙක් යොදුන. සුවාසූදහසෙක් යොදුන් මහසයුරෙහි ගැලී සිටියේ ය. සුවාසූදහසෙක් යොදුන් මහමුහුදින් මතුයෙහි නැඟී සිටියේ ය."

And finally let me ask you a few questions.

1 Do you believe that tripitaka could be wrong in some cases ?
2 Do you believe organisms gradually change over time ?
3 Do you believe there's a chance for humans to go extinct any moment before next buddha ?
4 Do you believe there were dinosaurs ?
5 Is it regarding humans or every other species you reject sharing common ancestors ? Do you reject that cats share a common ancestor with tigers too ?
6 Do you believe that these human like creatures existed ?

The point of my whole argument is to communicate my point. And this image says all of it that i'm trying to communicate. Let me put it this way.

    Possibilties in my View
    1. There is a teapot orbiting Venus
    2. There is no teapot orbiting Venus

    My Belief
There is no teapot orbiting Venus

Now if i say it is a fact that there is no teapot orbiting Venus, do i sound right? Of course i do, because a teapot orbiting Venus sounds ridiculous. But am i right logically? Have i actually considered limitations of my belief? i.e. the scope of my knowledge?

Same applies to God. If i say i have no doubt that god does not exist, in my opinion i'm blinded. My belief is that there is no god. But independent of my belief i know that i don't know everything. And no evidence can disprove the existence of god. So god is a Possibility (may not be a probability but certainly a possibility)

    What i explained above;
Everyone accepts it but i have found very few who "feels" it. What i know is that people who accept this and people who realize this has completely two different mind sets.

Of course it doesn't mean it's false or not going to be proved. That's why I presented with evidence with facts why it's wrong and not going to be proved. Did you even read my comment ? How about highlight where have I stated something wrong or contradicts with facts ?

Your evidence lead to a conclusion not a fact.

I didn't say it's wrong solely because he is an engineer. What I said is engineers aren't qualified to write articles regarding biology unless he's got a degree in biology. Read arguments I presented and explain why they are wrong.

Do you really believe that these degrees and phds really a determination factor to wisdom of people?

My theory does not involve beliefs

That's why I have never presented assumptions here. It's you who is presenting assumptions. Karma, Sansara, Nirvana.

Evolution is an assumption held together by some facts.

Do you have problems with understanding my sentences ? What you have said here doesn't make any sense. What evolution says is children aren't being replaced.

My point is evolution is not a fact just because can't be proven wrong.

Above is not related to earth is flat. OR is this is the part that you interpret as "earth is flat"? My god If Then i can see Kimbullu in the Koraha

However i believe the above part is talking about a condition after billions of years. It's too early to make conclusions.
