The argument in the document 2 that it was done at a time of 'suppression' under UNP cannot worth even replying. Anybody would understand that 1994 there was a change of govt and even private medical college (NCMC) was nationalized and affiliated to Kelaniya Uni. So if there was ample time for over two decades to change it back to what it was in 1981, if the 1988 amendment act to KDU was done under 'supression' in 1988 by UNP. This was not the case. These are lame excuses and accusations without any base. After 1988 KDU did not change its name to Uni though it was a separate University under our law.So my point is all the universities in Sri Lanka do courses for money and why no KDU if they have expertise. My point is further strengthened due to our successful defeat of terrorist out fit . So we may be able to get even foreign students to KDU . So what is objectionable it being open to others including government employees. At the moment lot of government and private employees are following paid courses in our unis. Eg UCSC , PIM, I know even our president did a pg Diploma in ICT(presently UCSC) in UOC, while he was an active combatant. So why not KDU do the same if they have any expertise which other unis lack.eg Defence studies, Intelligence-signal and human, which our unis do not teach due to lack of expertise.</blockquote>
